Greetings to Kathleen & Matt Flynn! I was about 10 years old when my mother first signed me up for Pocket Theater. My friend Janet & I helped remove the old theater seats and sweep the dust to make way for the new theater. My first appearance was as "Little Ki", then I had my "big break" as Little Mary in "The Women" (1961?) sharing that role with Kathleen Flynn. I'll never forget her laughter. She was so much fun! Mr. Flynn was a great director but it never failed--I always flubbed my lines in the last scene! In 1971, I was walking in my Berkeley apartment and had a sudden premonition that Louie Flynn was going to call. The phone rang, and it was Louie Flynn, asking me to try out for a revival of "The Women." By then, of course, I was too old for the part of "Little Mary" but landed the wonderful role of the maid who tattles on her employers to the cook. I will never be able to thank the Flynn Family enough for everything they did to encourage me and give me this creative outlet throughout my years in El Cerrito. After traveling overseas for the past 16 years, I'm back home again and hope to get involved again as a volunteer or even an actor again (if I can get my brain working!) I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!
